Sydney Yacht and Boat Options
Many clients love the idea of Team Sailing on Sydney Harbour as an activity,
but there are some amongst the Team who have some issues about
being on the water. Our most successful Team Sailing boat
option is aboard one of our Seawind Catamarans.
The Seawind Catamarans are fantastic; they offer more stability
than any keelboat sailing options on Sydney Harbour . We rarely
have a case of 'sea / motion sickness' because the Catamarans
are so stable, they sail very flat, don't lean over and offer
plenty of space out of the wind and sun. The boats have so
much space, including a wide sun soaked front deck and trampoline
area for those wanting all that Sydney 's beautiful weather
has to offer.
We haven't had to cancel an event yet;
the boats have plenty of cover, handle strong winds and we
can always find protected waters.
SeaWind Catamarans on Sydney Harbour
SeaWind Catamarans are ideal for social cruises and corporate
Team Building activities. The catamarans are capable of carrying
upto 20 passengers for a social sail and bonding experience and upto a maximum of 16 participants for
a structured Team Sailing activity. They offer plenty of space
to move around for smaller groups of 16 and under.
All our catamarans are performance cruising
luxury catamarans. These smooth sailing cruising and racing
catamarans will take any wave in their stride. They sail beautifully,
motor serenely and are fast with every comfort one could ever
want.

areas.

Seawind 1000 Catamaran on Sydney Harbour

building or meeting platform. The perfect option if you are

BBQ and oven for catering, good bathroom facilities, plenty
of space for catching the sun.

There are two boat options for a Corporate Sailing Event and Team Building activity.
- Option 1: Mono hull keel boat(s). Capacities 5 to 10, 11 or 12, depending on specific boat and availability - limited cover and protection from wind and weather. BYO Catering and Beverages. Regattas upto 150 pax.
- Option 2: 10 meter Seawind Catamaran(s): Seating for 12 under full cover. Fusion 40 Catamaran, with capacity for 30 participants. Very stable with Catering and Beverages available. Regattas of 24, 32, 48,64, 80 pax. can be organised.
Both offer a 'hands on' interactive Team Sailing activity on Sydney Harbour.
The keel boat is more challenging in its movement and interaction with the wind and waves, participants are more 'exposed' to the elements and the boat's motion.
Our philosophy is to make sure all the participants enjoy and achieve the event's aims and outcomes, not just the most adventurous participants. The Seawind Catamarans offer the best facilities to achieve these aims.
The Sydney Seawind Catamarans are fantastic; they offer more stability than any other sailing craft and have greater capacity so in most events all Team members can be on the one boat, a great team bonding activity and reward.
Sample Program on Sydney Harbour:
Following a safety briefing by the boat's professional skipper,
we will leave the dock and hoist the sails in the shadow of
our great Sydney icons the Opera House and Harbour Bridge
and prepare for an exhilarating and or fun day's Sailing!
We offer Social, non structured Sailing events that have at
the heart of the activity, a fun filled session of relaxation
and ad hock sailing instruction or Structured programs where
the Group is broken into smaller Teams and each Team works
together to sail the boat(s) as efficiently as possible.
This structured Team training format on Sydney Harbourwill encourage and promote
communication across individuals and the Teams alike. Newly
gained skills will enhance individual and Team confidence
and respect for each others roles in unfamiliar situations.
Benefits:
A half day on Sydney Harbour will give each Team a good understanding of what
it takes to make a sail boat work, each group will help their
fellow Team Mates 'learn the ropes', transferring information
and communicating specific tasks as they need to be accomplished.
Sail training on Sydney Harbour is an outdoor adventure activity. Its purpose
is not to teach how to sail; it's principally to help them
learn about themselves in a Team environment, to discover
hidden strengths and talents, to understand the value of others
and of working as one of a team.
In the structured programs on Sydney Harbour we propose that these newly gained
skills will then be used to sail a timed course or to perform
a strategic manoeuvre such as picking up buoy or sailing to
a predetermined destination. In a regatta format with two
boats or more, these skills will help give Teams a competitive
edge.
